I lived off Upper Manatee River Road for 12 years and drove by these palms on the border of Waterlefe almost every day. I enjoyed seeing them there, like a family. I imagined that they must have been planted by someone at some point in time. With so much development going on in Manatee and Sarasota County, you never know if one day you will drive down a familiar road and something like these five palms will be gone. I've started painting some trees and roads that are important to me, so I will at least be able to keep the memory.
